Arthur and the Archives

by Tappii La Bonche

five-ring-circus-with-fenwick-collection-at-tw-archivesGoing to the archives has been great. There were lots of wonderful experiences like looking at Arthur Fenwicks’ scrapbook and reading his personal life stories in depth. There is a lot of freedom in what you can search for and find, and some funny and fantastic headlines, like “Lion dies from growing too fast”.

There was always something new to find, like links between articles and news feeds on Facebook or finding out about a trapeze artist who dies but is recovering in hospital. Going to the archives has been fun and educational and there was always something to laugh about.
