Arthur Fenwick’s Scrapbook
Snippets & Photos

Arthur Fenwick made 20 large leather bound scrap books which included all manner of cuttings, tickets, letters and printed ephemera from 1912-1953. We have digitised some of the pages from these books and a few photos. They tell great stories of circus folk: Koringa’s visit to Fenwicks Shop, of Lord Sangar’s murder and Bostock’s Menagarie sale. As well as tales from Newcastle’s Town Moor Festival and all the travelling folk. Some of the stories are told in our Time Line pages.
