Fossett brothers remembered.

Circus bothers John “Jack”, Claude and Anthony “Bim” Fossett who all served are all remembered by Christine (niece) and George Pinder 100 years to the day after the death of Jack on 10/10/1917.  The couple visited The Showman’s Guild of Great Britain memorial which is at the National Memorial Arboretum in Staffordshire where Jack’s name appears.

Christine and George Pinder have this remarkable and poignant photo composite image of the family, which memorialises Jack at the heart of his family with his father and surviving brothers.

Composite image with photographic inset of John Fossett into family group. With his father John (left) and Brothers Claud (standing), and Anthony “Bim” (seated right) photo credit:  Christine & George Pinder.

Thanks to the Pinder we have been able to update the A-Z listing of circus soldiers on this site.

Read more about Christine and George’s visit in the article in the Leicester Mercury article.
