Spaghetti Circus

2010 visit

Spaghetti Circus under the Tyne bridge 2010In 2010, when Five Ring Circus was finding it’s feet, they invited Australia’s Spaghetti Circus to Newcastle with their show “Teenager”. The Spaghettis were a long established youth circus with lots of high level skills, such as teeter board and acrobatics. They were received at Mansion House by the Lord Mayor and performed twice at the Tyne Theatre as part of the Five Ring Circus Festival.

Lots of people have since graduated from the Spaghetti Circus, some have stayed in Europe and returned to Circus Central as teachers, such as Marianne and Chollet, who came in May 2012 for 6 weeks as a tight-wire and handstand specialist. Circus Central also welcomed back Tim, Denique and Rose and hope that in future years many of the other Spaghetti artists will return.
