Iain Jenkins

b. 1966

Dr Iain Jay working his sideshow act at DJC (Durham Juggling Convention), 2013Ian Jenkins, from Hartlepool, was born in York in 1966. After an eventful life traveling around the UK and world as a zoologist, teacher, social worker & RAF Officer he succumbed to stress & depression.

Fighting back in 1994 he turned to magic, illusion and mentalism. Iain specialises in dark story telling. During the summer months he operates as Septus J. Mortimore III Traveling Show performing escapes, giant flea circus and other sideshow attractions such as fire, glass walking, fortune telling and some walkabout.

He has also produced and directed shows in several NE Theatres including Durham Gala & Arc Stockton and been involved in Spooky events across the NE.

Iain represents a traditional crossover between magic and circus.
