Cirque du Soleil Review

by Thethie La Bonche

Cirque du Soleil, from Canada is the Best Circus I have ever seen, their performance Alegria was amazing. They had 106 people on tour and 50 performers from all over the world. They are helped by 80 local people to set up the show.

It had all kinds of funny and beautiful acts, each one individual. There were two hoop acts: one Roue Cyr by a strong man and the other Hula Hoops by a tall thin girl/woman. My favourite was the swinging cradle act, it was amazing! There was a big net with 2 rope ladders either side 8 men went high up to metal railings. 2 went onto the cradle below waiting to catch the third person to do a flip off the railings and land in their hands. The costumes were one of a kind, from soft feathers to creepy hunchbacks. It’s a spectacular show. It had trampoline tricks and balancing flips. I would recommend it to anybody. It is worth everybody’s attention because they’ve worked so hard. The Clowns were hilarious. I have never laughed so much in my life. You MUST go and see Cirque du Soleil any chance you get, get inspired. It’s also a chance to go to Newcastle’s Metro Radio Arena.

We now call one of the runs we do in circus Alegria Running!
